Who needs boys? Clawdeen has both roles covered. Or, taken alternatively, the end of "Beauty in the Beast" could have gone more like the beginning of the "Princess and the Frog", as it seems as though even among people who actually *liked* "Beauty and the Beast" (I don't), Prince Adam wasn't all that popular. People seem to like him better as Beast. Go figure.
This was my project today. The PJs were a warm up. Just so we're clear here, I was never a fan of "Beauty and the Beast", but this was just to awesome to pass up. After a lot of work, and a lot of help from , who has to be the most patient person in the universe, I got it all put together. I think she looks cute. ^_^ It suits her.
Oh, and I didn't have it in my to do gloves that size. forget that. Plus, I'd have to make two left-hand ones. I don't know if you can tell easily in this picture, but my Clawdeen is defective. She has two left arms and hands. We called Mattel, but you can't get replacement pieces. Oh well. I love her anyway.
Materials: Pale yellow satin (Prom dress fabric?), Swarovski crystal bead
Monster High belongs to Mattel, Belle's dress belongs to Disney, doll dress created by ~llteaniebeanie and :dev LLBeanie:
Actually, they did offer me a replacement, but "couldn't promise which doll it would be." I took them up on it, but they sent me DracuLaura. -_- It was close to Christmas, and the dolls were flying off the shelves, so I just gave DracuLaura to my little sister and kept my defective Clawdeen. As far as I'm concerned, a defective werewolf is still better than a vampire, lol. I'm with you, though, I have no idea how she got through inspection.
I just thought I'd let you know that Mattel just started offering replacement hands and arms for the MH dolls, so you should be able to get her a new hand now: [link]
